CHARITY GALA – UCBM
December 9, 2025
The Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome, with which we have been collaborating for several years, including through the organization of medical workcamps, is hosting a charity gala.
Part of the proceeds will be allocated to support the project aimed at integrating patients with disabilities into healthcare services in the Mvimwa area, where they currently have no access to medical care, through screening programs and comprehensive health check-ups.

The theater company … NOT BY CHANCE organized a musical comedy at the Auditorium La Filanda in Cornaredo. Part of the proceeds was kindly donated to Golfini Rossi ETS for the completion of the hospital that will be dedicated to Dr. Daniele Rizzi.
FRIENDS FOR LIFE
AIEF, the Italian Association of Financial Educators, has always supported Golfini Rossi ETS as true FRIENDS do.
From this long-standing friendship, which is now opening up to new partners, the “FRIENDS FOR LIFE” project takes off, aimed at the youngest friends living in rural African territories.
The children of the Mvimwa villages suffer the most from skin diseases such as scabies and gastrointestinal diseases caused by lack of hygiene and clean water.
FRIENDS FOR LIFE are therefore also SOAPS and SANITIZERS.
By creating a soap factory, we wanted to enhance female empowerment by providing dignified work to women who have been left alone and bring concrete solutions to improve hygiene in rural villages, an essential prerequisite for improving individual and collective health.
Now full speed ahead!
Long live the friendship between all of us, long live FRIENDS FOR LIFE
A FAREWELL TO THE MAN, DOCTOR, AND FRIEND…
On behalf of the Board of Directors and the Board of Auditors of golfini rossi onlus, I express deep sorrow for the loss of the Founding Member and Councilor Dr. Daniele Rizzi.
Dr. Rizzi passed away due to COVID, while fully engaged in his work as a general practitioner, which he always carried out with professionalism and profound dedication.
We have lost an important reference person for all the health areas that the non-profit organization is managing. As a doctor, from his first encounter with the very fragile populations of African rural villages, he had outlined guidelines of thought and undertaken actions.
The legacy of his dream to change an overly harsh and difficult destiny for the children with red sweaters in Mvimwa will always be present in our Association’s decisions. With him, a new star has been lit that shines here in our skies for his family, friends, colleagues, and his beloved patients, and reaches all the way to Mvimwa, in a trail of light and love.

WHEN A LIGHT TURNS ON
The spotlight turned on by Francesca Liberatore during the last fashion week has borne good fruit, and with the help of many friends, the canteen of the Mvimwa dispensary is already under construction and we will see it finished by January 2021. Finally, the sick will have guaranteed hot meals.
Fondazione Mediolanum onlus has also lit another star in the sky of Mvimwa for the canteen of St. Placidus primary school. A precious Christmas gift proposed to everyone, with a perspective of collective solidarity that will be doubled by the Foundation. With united forces, our little students will also have nutritious meals suitable for the phase of cognitive development and growth in a suitable and clean environment.
The construction was completed in 2024!
+5 HAPPY BIRTHDAY GOLFINI ROSSI!
Dear friends,
Usually, at canonical dates, we take stock to understand if the paths taken years ago are still the right ones.
5 years ago, at the time of the Association’s establishment, we had dreams and a mix of skills, but no experience in the world of international cooperation and the third sector in general.
The dreams were free, big, enveloping because they concerned the life prospects of thousands of children with red sweaters we met in Africa the year before. So happy dreams, full of energy and therefore contagious.
In these first years, we have learned a lot, even from our mistakes.
The greatest learning has been that of sharing the dream with Italian and African institutions and especially with all of you.
This is how we have encountered, along the way, the enthusiasm of hundreds of young people who have come to Mvimwa and are now powerful ambassadors, along with doctors, professors, and professionals with big hearts, who have put their services and skills at our disposal.
We have tried to listen a lot, to voices here in Italy and voices there in Africa, seeking solutions that embrace diversity of culture and opinion.
Many important initiatives have excited us in the implementation phase, others have not yet reached their goal… but we have scheduled them.
Well, this Association of ours, after the weaning of its first 5 years of life, is now ready to consolidate operational plans and relaunch the dream, accelerating solidary economic development in African land.
The dream, which always remains that of improving the quality of life of thousands of children with red sweaters living in the rural territories of Mvimwa, is now proposed to companies and entrepreneurs and, broadening the gaze towards wide-ranging horizons, it also opens up to art and beauty, music and fine singing, fashion and creativity. A vortex of love and humanity that unites destinies and flies!
Happy birthday golfini rossi onlus! Here’s to 100 of these happy days.

FRANCESCA LIBERATORE FOR GOLFINI ROSSI #FashionThatHelps
On September 25th, fashion and solidarity intertwine!
The designer Francesca Liberatore will present her ss 2021 collection at Milan Fashion Week, which will be partially auctioned live on-site and in live streaming thanks to the help of Cambi auctions. The entire proceeds will be donated to our Association and will support the health project – evolution of the Mvimwa dispensary.
The project is being implemented in the heart of the Benedictine monastery of Mvimwa in the Rukwa region (the poorest in all of Tanzania), where there has been an active dispensary for over 20 years serving more than 20,000 inhabitants of the surrounding areas. However, the dispensary was inadequate due to the lack of health safety criteria and number of beds. To address this problem, golfini rossi launched the Health in Mvimwa project in 2019, which includes 8 phases spread over a 5-year time frame. We have already completed the first three, which involved the construction of a new maternity ward, pediatric ward, and the assignment of a mobile clinic.
Now, thanks to the proceeds from the fashion show, we can begin the execution of the fourth phase, which involves the construction of a canteen and kitchen facility in the dispensary. Currently, patients and their families have to provide for their own meals, consumed on the ground. The new canteen and kitchen facility will provide them with hot meals, as well as training on hygiene and nutrition principles for new mothers in a dedicated classroom.
Help us achieve this small but great goal!
